BioBridge Software Development Kit (SDK) is a set of exposed Application Development Interface (API) functions or Dynamic-link Libraries (DLL) provided for development of third-party Windows applications that use FingerTec readers to collect clocking or door access activities. FingerTec data Processor application can be deployed as a ready front-end application to manage and control FingerTec readers with read and write functions to update abd download data to and from FingerTec readers. FTDP provide user maintenance and reader configuration screen for reader operation. User activity logs captured by Readers are downloaded to FTDP data store.
FTDP uses Microsoft Access as the default data store. It can support other Open Database Connectivity (ODBC) compliant database system by configuring the data source in the FTDP's Data Link Properties. With FTDP, third-party application developers can now focus merely on core application development without concerning and acquiring any FingerTec Reader programming skills.
FTDP will definitely shorter the application development cycle as the reader data are made available in the database tables for application access. In-house applications deploying FTDP as a front-end application for FingerTec readers will find some cost-saving benefits in long run without having to maintain reader management codes.
For FingerTec customers, FTDP can be downloaded and installed without additional software licensing requirement.
